Kohlbini
Kohlbini is our name for kohlrabi. It is a fun way of saying that this is a mini version of kohlrabi.
Kohlbini tastes similar to cabbage and broccoli but is milder and sweeter.
Kohlbini works well when placed on top of red meat or mixed with other micros as a side salad. Remember for hot dishes, add on the plate just before serving.
Kohlbini is very high in nutrients, and loaded with iron and vitamin C. It also contains minerals such as copper and manganese (important for brain and nerve function). It is also a good source of potassium (which helps to regulate blood pressure) In addition microgreens contain up to forty times more nutrients than their mature counterparts so even a little is good for you.
Naked Carrot microherbs are grown in their own nutritionally balanced soil without the use of chemicals for even more goodness.
Kohlrabi is a descendent of wild cabbage (like broccoli and cauliflower) that was found growing in Europe in the 14th Century. It spread to Germany, England, Italy and Spain and other parts of the mediteranian in the 16th Century. Nowadays Kohlrabi can be found in European, Chinese, Israeli, Indian and African cuisine.
