Tatsini
Tatsini is our name for kohlrabi. It is a fun way of saying it is a mini version of Tatsoi.
Tatsoi displays sweet yet nutty flavors and is slightly tangy peppery.
Pair tatsini with scallops, mushrooms, seaweed, sesame and braised meats. Fermented ingredients such as fish sauce, soy sauce and vinegars are also good matches. Remember for hot dishes, add on the plate just before serving.
Naked Carrot microherbs are grown in their own nutritionally balanced soil without the use of chemicals for even more goodness.
Tatsini is a good source of vitamins A, C and K, carotenoids, folate, calcium and potassium. It is rich in beta carotene, phosphorous, and iron.
Tatsoi is native to China, yet its culinary roots are in Japan, its period of cultivation so deep there, it is considered an ancient green. Being a variety of brassica from Asia, it has gained recognition throughout the world especially, in North America. It is used commonly in the Chinese cuisine and but is increasingly popular on modern Australian and European menus.
